i broke the wrench  from the first break..thats when i decided to plug the hole. that does answer my question about that happening a lot though..Why else would testors make a tool for you to push a broken piece out  unless they new that it was an issue..

I wish I thought about a drill bit when the fiirst one broke...at least I know now.
Thanks for the advice. I'll remeber it from now on.
I've already scrapped it for parts and tossed it now.

any suggestions on new brush? single/double?

thanks again

Most Aztek's come with a little red "wrencH" that has a tool that pushes through from one side feed aperature to the other. Do you have that tool? It may be available at Testors website.

Have you tried to drill out the broken part from the airbrush body?  If you have a hand drill it would probably work better.

paint jar issues!!

Hi all,
I currently have (had, that is) an Aztek A3205.
as you know it as many are righty/lefty switchable. About a month ago the black tip of the jar that feeds into the airbrush broke off into it...and the piece that was still inside the brush wasn't coming out. The more I pryed, the plastic of the brush started to deform..I ended up with an airbrush that looked as if it just came from Belleau Wood. It was fixable though..I used some plastic steel (i think thats the name)..which is great for filling in gaps and creating extra parts for models....got it from Autozone.
Anyway i filled the gaping hole of the airbrush with it, a few minutes later it set with no leaks.
So I have been using the lefty side since...that was only one model ago...and last night another jar tip broke off into that side with the same consequences.
Granted these jars were only about a year old. Is this their lifespan? I cleaned them after every use.
another question..
the
A3205 is a single action..
would there be an advantage to buying a double?
I pretty much killed an $80 airbrush with an 8 Dollar jar! Is this common?
I will be buying another today..thoughts welcome..and i am on a budget so under $100 would be nice.

Thanks

Brian
