Where to buy Alclad II in the US???

I see its at good ole Squadron...but I was wondering if there was anyplace else to comparison shop??

I am trying to decide what is best to use for the Tuskegee Mustang I am about to start building... I know everyone has a favorite...but the Metallizers seem a bit too fragile for my big hands.... also-- what best to use to paint a P-51C skin??

I am not sure what the dirrerence between aluminum, duraluminum, dark aluminum, polished aluminum, and white aluminum is [:0]....awful lot of shades of aluminum for my heat-stretched mind LOL

Jeeves - Try www.greatmodels.com . It's about a buck cheaper than squadron.

This is probably not the official "correct" thing to do with the different shades of aluminum, but i tend to use regular aluminum, the use white, or dar for some panels, or flaps of small sections. This give more texture to the finish.

Polished is for getting a high gloss, and I don't use it much except on commercial aircraft, or test/experimental models.

I have not used the duraluminum

Try Tamiya Silver Flake for easy aluminum finishes.
