Richpen 113C & Iwata HP-C
Posted by Anonymous on Thursday, September 28, 2006 5:43 PM

Remember reading somewhere on the forum saying that Richpen 113C is the clone of Iwata HP-C and EVERY SINGLE of their parts are interchangable. Can anyone who have both of them confirm this? Cuz I ask BearAir and this is what I got from them

No, RichPen airbrushes are not Iwata clones. RichPen has been around making airbrushes as long as Iwata. They are a separate company. We have found that all of the Japanese companies make their products very similar. SOME of the parts are interchangeable. Thank You

So only some instead of every single part are interchangable?

Also how's the RichPen 113C compare to HP-C in terms of quality?

ack, i was >< <---that close to getting a apollo 113C with that $75 price tag from bearair, but ended up getting one of them gunze procon boy ABs just for fun instead.  would have given u a great comparison if i didn't gain my sanity back near the end.  (90+ bucks with the same features as the HP-CH, i'd say it was a good buy and a good spare to my CH.)  from what i have heard so far, iwata and richpen pretty much came from the same plant in japan, so the quality shouldn't be a problem, but of course that doesn't really guarantee the 113C and the HP-C to be the same thing even though they sure look similar enough to me.

The two airbrushes are made in the same plant and yes their parts are interchangeable. Are the the same airbrush? No, Richpen is not a clone, but yes their specs are almost dead on.
