I've had good success with PollyScale using EXPO dry erase board cleaner, available at your local office supply store.   It smells just like the PollyScale thinner,   it must be the ethanol, ethyl acetate, and isopropyl.   [And its cheaper!]

You can use distilled or deionized water to thin PollyScale, it works fine and is cheaper than anything else. It is easily cleaned from your air brush with Windex or a solution of Simple Green.

Simple Green™ is a concentrated household cleaning product. Most grocery stores should carry it, also available at Home Depot, Menard's, etc.

Not sure what it's called or where you can get it on your side of the pond.

Yep, it's colonial, Tongue [:P] Laugh [(-D]. I've e-mailed the company to find out whether it's available on your side of the pond.

For Xtracrylix and Polly Scale, I've had good luck with distilled water with approx. 5 drops of dish washing soap/ detergent added.  The dish soap acts as a retarder and flow enhancer, reducing tip dry.  Works great for me so far, as I've just started experimenting with the Xtracrylix brand.  For clean up, I use Windex window cleaner.

The problem I have is I think that Windex in the UK (Known as Windolene) has no amonia in, this being the active ingredient for the thinning/cleaning it makes the product useless to me, unless someone UK based can tell me otherwise.Question [?]

You can just use ammonia and water, or add ammonia to "Windolene." You don't need much.
