Mr. Hobby Color Thinner
Posted by Anonymous on Sunday, October 1, 2006 4:07 PM

Just got back from the swap meet and I picked up 32 bottles of this paint for $5.00. This paint goes on smooth and levels out great using a brush.

What can I use to thin it with so that I can use it in my airbrush? I really don't want to buy the Mr. Hobby thinner if I don't have to.

Thanks, Bill

Wow, that's a bargain price. It's a lacquer paint so lacquer thinner should work, I've never used those paints personally, so you should probably test it first.

I have found some great deals at swap meets and yard sales. Last month I got the Tamiya 1/32 scale F-14 for $15 at the swap meet and 3 months ago I got over 300 bottles of Floquil Military Colors for $80 at a yard sale. This is best enamel paint I have ever used, now I know why Testors bought them out and discontinued the line. These paints blows Model Masters away.

Thanks for the info Cuba, I'll give it a try. Take care, Bill

Cuba, you the man! Lacquer thinner was the ticket.

Thanks, Bill
