Paint thinning Acrylics
Posted by Anonymous on Saturday, August 30, 2003 3:06 PM
Just curious if anyone has had this problem:

I'm able to spray many colors thinning with IPA. I've tried purple white and green. But when it comes to black, just IPA doesn't seem to work. When I go 50/50 water and IPA to thing, it seems to work a lot better. I get something on the lines spattering when I use black with just IPA. Kinda tiny hairs that come out with paint on them. Is this common that one color gives a little more trouble than others. This is Delta Ceracoat from walmart.

You'll find a wealth of information about acrylics and how to thin them in the September 2001 issue of FineScale Modeler.
