Anyone uses a Sparmax air compressor?

Thank you so much for the detail information Jim. It looks like that the ABD TC-20T looks very similar to the Sparmax AC-100. Looks like the TC-20T is in my list. BTW, is you TC-20T quiet?

Hey Anthony, good timing. I just got off the phone with a reputable distributor regarding hobby aircompressors. I'm looking to carry something other than what my current distributor offers.

Here's his points on the subject:

• For occasional use (short and not often) a tankless model is fine. They are really best for doing things like nail art. They also tend to burnout sooner and more often.
• For a more continued use one with a tank is better. They last longer and offer a pulsation free air supply.
• Diaphram compressors are fine for the occasional user.
• Piston compressors are better for more continued use.
• Buy a compressor that produces more air supply than normally required.
• One with an automatic on/off switch is a no brainer these days.
• Match the proper size to what is needed and it will last for years.
• Expensive ones don't necessarily mean they are any better than a less expensive one.
• There are basically only a few manufacturers of aircompressors. They produce compressors so other companies can also put their Brand Name on them, Sparmax being one such company.

With that said, I'd like to point you to a product of similar quality and specs. Compare prices, not brand names with what I am showing you. Go with the cheaper of the two brand names that meet your needs.
