Do any of you good people have direct experience of the new Peak X-3 from Bear Air?

Greetings,

Can't tell you anything about the X-3 but I do have a Peak C-5 and it is a Iwata Clone.  Very good value for the money.  The Peak parts are interchangable with my Iwata.  Supposedly, the only difference between the Peak and the Iwata is the different name on the body side.  They are made in the same factory.

From the look and the spec, it's a copy of the HP-BCS from Iwata, which a lot of the forum members, including me, owns.  It's a good general purpose airbrush that can handle enamel paints easily.  I use it solely for large area coverage and heavier high gloss paints and I prefer the feel and mechanism to my Badger 155, which I ended up using for primer only now.  If it's going your first and only airbrush, I'd suggest to look at their HP-C copy or other gravity feed airbrush since they will be better at the detail painting end while still provide enough paint storage and medium sized nozzles for larger areas.
