Airbrush hunt
Posted by Wulf on Thursday, November 30, 2006 10:45 AM

I'm in the market for another airbrush. I have the Badger 200NH and it's fine for a larger application. However, I would like to be able to freehand camo jobs and bottom/top color lines. So, I would need one that has good fine line capability. I've seen the Aztek series work well with their interchangable tips. I would like to stay under a $100.00. Any help would be great.

My recommendations are either the Badger 100LG or the Omni 4000.

They are both excellent airbrushes.

Hey Wulf,

I can't remember if you have a Hobby Lobby in town or not, so here's what I'd reccomend. Take the 40% off coupon from their site and go to the store and buy a Paasche VL. It's a double action internal mix airbrush. If you get the box set you get a nice 6ft hose,  two paint cups (I'd recommend buying a smaller one or two afterwards), a metal 1/4 oz cup, a brush caddy, and 3 different tips and needles for something like $80. with the 40% off coupon, that's a good price! When I bought mine it was $80. Good luck!

I use the Aztec that came with a testors set.  It works great but i have a hard time finding tips for it.  I got it for a beginners airbrush and now that i'm proficent with it, i'm gonna get me an Iwata at the first of the year

Another vote for the Badger 100.

I run a 100SG with a fine tip, and have just picked up a 100G with a medium tip for $58 plus shipping from Coast.
