With Iwatas airbrushes .20mm,.25mm would be very fine. Good for inks, very thinned paint and very fine details. .30mm and .35mm would be fine to medium good for most modeling work. Fine details are easily achieved. .5mm would be med to large. good for most modeling work. Works easily with any modeling paint.  I have a .5mm tip Revolution and a .3mm tip HP-C. If I had to have only one I probably choose a .35mm Eclypse.

just like how the new stang has 300 horses and the gto get to have 400.  and that dodge calibur commercial that tend to over-exaggerate its puny lil toy.  (though i'd still take the mustang anytime anywhere, not some vauxhall monaro rebadged crap.)  n then of course there is kia who won't boast about any numbers on their cars to avoid any competition and comparison.

When they use the sizes in mm I think it is all a sales ploy myself.

needle and nozzle size question
Posted by lolok on Friday, December 15, 2006 12:55 PM

Why do the different manufacturers refer to their needle and tip sizes in different ways?? Some refer to just Fine/medium?large or they give us mathematically challenged citizens a headache by using 0.5mm or whatever!!  I have just bought an all whistles and bells double action with cut-away handle, under nozzle adjustment screw, swivel head, etc. It came with a 0.25mm needle and head.So what does that equate to?? Fine/medium or just a good all round size.

Should have paid more attention in maths instead of English Lit....Dunce [D)]
