Man what a difference a "real" AB makes. I was using the Testors A220 before now. I didn't realize how much of a difference using a real AB would make. And I'm still using canned air for now. I can't wait to get the air compressor I've got my eye on...

I started airbrushing with the same airbrush.

They are good airbrushes and have been around for a long time.

I prefer a thinner bodied airbrush personally, but that is a good one you have there.

The VL is a good solid airbrush that's been around forever.  I've never owned one (imagine that), but I've seen plenty of t-shirt and craft guys use them.  It seems to be THE starter brush here in the U.S. (outside of the modeling world) and parts are available everywhere.  Most importantly, the parts are very affordable when compared to other brands.  IMHO, where people fall down with the Paasche brushes in general is that you have to use relatively high psi's to get them to atomize properly.  I've personally never seen a hobby shop demo that went well with a Paasche at under 20 psi.  If you are using acylics, I would say 25 psi and a retarder. Make sure you keep the heads and needles clean and you should be good to go.  HTH.
