Testor Blue Mini Airbrush Compressor
Posted by Anonymous on Wednesday, December 27, 2006 10:15 AM
Just got a Testor Blue Mini Airbrush Compressor for my Xmas. I am brand new to airbrush painting models having been 'away' from my hobby for almost 10 years. Just wanted to see if anyone had any experience with this model and/or any tips for use. It would only be for painting 1/32 and 1/48 model aircraft and ships. Thanks ...

I used this compressor for about a year. It's not a bad one at all, and it never gave me any reliability issues. Don't use it for overly long periods of time, because it can get very hot.

The only negative is that once you add a pressure regulator, you really can get only about 15 PSI tops, which is inadequate for some things.

All in all it's a good compressor if you're just starting out again.

I second Tankmaster's comment about the EXCESSIVE heat that this little guy generates. I used mine for about a month and then upgraded. OK, but I can't recommend it. Mine got so hot that it popped the hose right off of the fitting!
