Probably not, I'd try a test patch first though.

What kind of paint?

MM enamels or acrylic?

If acrylic, Simple Green or Windex, neither of which will affect resin, should take it off.

The paint peeling sounds like the surface of the resin may not have been completely clean. Some castings ooze release agents and plasticizers for quite a long time.

Simple Green, Windex, and surfactant cleaners like Formua 409 are good cleaners for removing plasticizers and release agents. Follow with an alcohol wipe.

And you're welcome!

I stripped acrylic and enamel off a Verlinden 200mm figure recently. I tried brake fluid and Simple Green, which both worked, although VERY slowly. Getting impatient, I then used Castrol Super Clean which worked in no time, with a bit of scrubbing from a toothbrush. No damage to the resin, though a couple of the CA-glued joints had to be re-glued. Thanks Neil
