Air source choices for air brush

I'm just getting back into the scale modeling scene and relearning a few things. I bought a Badger 200 and i'm currently running it on small cans of compressed air. I'm well aware of the drawbacks to the approach and I'm trying to decide my next step. I know some people use the large compressed air canisters and that can last for quite a while, others prefer compressors etc. Since the Badger 200 is a single action I could see the value of an adjustable pressure compressor but I need to keep my cost as low as possible. What are your recommendations from experience?

Find a super cheap compressor. I think you can get a small one for less than $50... I know there are a few specific airbrush compressors for that amount or so.

I had a compressor that I found at a garage sale that was meant for pesticides.. it cost $20. Lasted for a long time... heck its still good I think, lol.

Well, You better have a good set of lungs to power that BadgerLaugh [(-D]Clown [:o)]

Harbor Freight has a hobby air compressor for around $50 when on sale

Wow- with a pressure gauge and a moisture trap at $79.....! That's a bargain! I'd say buy it now!

Hey jon, I bought mine over 2 yrs ago and it had a non adjustable air regulator on it. Got it on sale for like $35. It's still going strong (I did get  a Paashe regulator from dixieart.com for it for like $30 ) Noise level isn't much more than a fish tank's air pump when the water level is a little low or, a sewing machine at full throttle.
