If the circle you require is larger than can be produced using the circle template mentioned above, then a compass cutter may be helpful.

Depending on the size of the masking tape and the circles needed to mask you could use a circle template that you can pick up where drafting supplies are sold.  You match the circle to the appropriate template and then use the template to draw that size on the tape - cut out using a fine blade and you should be ok to mask it.

My current model im working on has large circles that require painting.  I use blue painters tape for my masking (it serves my purposes fine).  My problem is that tape is straight and circles are round.  Any suggestions on how to go about masking my circles?
