Cleaning Iwata HP-C

Not sure reading the Iwata instructions if I'm supposed to clean the AB after each session by just blowing cleaning solution through the brush for a short period until clear. Do I clean the needle after each session? Don't seem to need to loosen their chucking nut either to remove the needle. I just loosen the turnscrew in the cut away section. Is this wrong? It seems like if I pull the needle out through the mechanism to clean it, I'm getting paint residue inside the brush. I usually use my Paasche H and it's easy to clean. Thanks for any advice.

I've had my Iwata for several months now, and have been cleaning it in the manner you have described, and have had no problems.

I've also used the media lube on the needle, and everything seems fine.

That is the needle chuck in the handle. Big Smile [:D]

To remove the needle for cleaning, pull the trigger all the way back, then remove the nozzle assembly and loosen the needle chuck. Then slide the needle out forwards, this way you won't be pulling any paint residue backwards thru the airbrush.
