Hi all
I just bought an airbrush. I am an airbrush virgin. Gonna do me some cool camos on my planes, but....
How much paint do I mix for a 1:72 scale airplane(mostly WWII fighters)? I have the Testors 1/4 oz bottles and the MM 1/2 oz bottles of paint. Is 1/4 oz of paint thinned two to one with thinner(I am not sure what the ratio I will use;3:1, 2:1 or 1:1!) enough paint to cover the plane in two or three coats? I do not want to run out of paint-or have too much left over. I would presume the best case scenario would be to run out of mixed paint just after making the last pass on the model. If I do end up with extra paint what do I do with it? Save it in a clean empty jar or-shudder- throw it away?
Also-what is the little silver color cup for? My a/b came with that cup(1/4 oz capacity) and a couple of jars with lids(one oz capacity).
I did not see an answer to this particular question on the painting FAQ. If these questions have already been answered, please point me in the general direction of the particular posts and I will have a look see.
Thanks
Chris
