I've done it a few time, here's one example of what it looks like done to the wingroot walkway - go to models, aircraft, wwII, and then choose the p-75 hawk. Look toward the bottom.

The key is to use sea-salt and NOT regular table salt - regular table salt will simply melt away when wet.

Had something in the latest FSM on "salt weathering". Has anyone tried it here? How well does it work?
