I just bought a bottle of Model Master Acryl thinner and it says on the bottle that it can be used with Polly S and Floquil acrylics as well. The old bottle did not mention that and I have not tried it with polly S yet, but thought I would pass that on.

Thanks for the help!  Tamiya thinner will be tried.

I've always used Tamiya thinner, and never had any problems.

I have thinned it with 2 different techniques:

A 50/05 mix of distilled water and IsoProp rubbing alcohol and a drop or 2 of Liqutix flow aid.

OR

Use good old Taimya X-20a thinner.

Distilled or deionized water works just fine. I occasionally add a tiny drop of acylic retarder if conditions warrent.

When using Polly-Scale Flat or Satin clear coats, if I need to thin them I use a little distilled water (not tap water). I imagine the same could be used for their colors.

Despite still being in the current issue of the Micro-Mark catalogue, a postcard arrived in the mail this morning from Micro-Mark which stated, "Polly S Thinner has been discontinued."  A call to the customer service center confirmed this unwelcome news.  Whats to use, dudes?
