Anybody have aby tips on how to paint straight (flat?) lines on propeller hubs? I'm talking about where for example the 1st half closest to the plane is one color, the second half another color.
I tried thin masking tape, but since the hup is tapered, I can't get the tape to lay flat. The tape on the thicke side of the hub sticks flat, but the outer edge has gathers in in since it's smaller in diameter. I've ven tried 1/8th" tape and still have the same problem.
I tried making a mask with blu-tack, but was unable to get it straight around the hub.
I've tried it free-hand, and it just doesn't look anywhere near straight.
HELP! Any ideas or hints will be greatly appreciated!
