Modelamaster clear acrylic flat coat.

I've been using this stuff as a dullcoat for a while now and ran into a new problem. I went to overcoat the hull on my 350th Tirpitz and when it dried it clouded all over in a scaly looking mess. Had to sand the whole thing down and repaint. The bottle was a couple months old, the only thing I did different was to thin it with modelmaster thinner. Anyone else experience anything like this?

Was the MM thinner for acrylics or enamel?

If you spray too much and too far away, it will 'cloud' and feel rough. Try lowering you pressure and get in a little closer. It's hard to tell if it's going on because it's clear and it will puddle in no time. Also, make sure you wipe 'er down good before you coat it. That can cause the paint to flake and not want to stick.
