Testors Spray Cans
Posted by Alpha54 on Wednesday, April 25, 2007 4:53 PM

I've been looking at the Testor Spray 3oz cans and was wondering are there certain colors I should avoid,I'll be using gun ship gray, white, red, and metallic silver, also what primer should I use with this as I don't want the orange peel effect?

Use Tamiya Fine Light gray or White (probably use the white) primer like this.

All the colors are good, except for maybe yellow. But then again, most yellows are difficult.

Orange peel is caused more by painting technique than the paint itself. The biggest cause is normally to much paint. If you do get some orange peel, you can sand it out with some very fine sand paper (3000 grit +)
