Worn leather/Vinyl seat look.

when the leather wears it can get an uneven coloration.  I recently did a gunner in a leather flight suit and varied the base color with light and dark washes.  But what really made it pop was when the guys in the Figures section suggested dry brushes areas of wear with some light gray or light tan

This was all done with Model Master leather, flat black and flat white enamels.

I did the Verlinden B17 crewman (standing holding parapack) i started with a near-black enamel basecoat and worked my way up using a mix of umber, seinna and black oil paint for the basic color. I lightened the mix up with a touch of yellow ochre for the worn, highlighted look that the old filghtsuits took on, with only the lightest highlight around the highest edges. The dried oil paint had the correct sheen as well.
