Striping Enamel from Vinyl without destroying the Vinyl
Posted by Anonymous on Friday, May 18, 2007 8:31 PM

I made a big boo boo because I didn't listen to a friend close enough.  I am working on my first vinyl model and I mixed up the fact that he said, "use acrylics and not enamels because enamels will seem gummy and never dry on vinyl."  Well I base coated my test subject with some grey enamel paint last night and it feels all gummy.  Banged Head [banghead]  My big question now is how do I strip the enamel without damaging the vinyl underneath?

 Thanks, folks!

Hello,
Doing a little reading, Valspar's Goof Off may be of use.  Obviously I'd recommend testing it out as I've never used the stuff myself.
