Painting diecast

Question [?]Need help.

I have a 1/18 diecast Dodge Viper manufactured by Bburago. While the painting is basically good, hidden parts aren't covered. Then there is a hedious and visible moulding defect on the roof top. To correct this mistake it will need me to sand and repainting is needed. Since I have no experience in painting diecast model, how can I repaint (properly) the model?

im not really sure what to do. If i were in ur shoes, i'd prolly mask the area around the sanded area, and then prime it an enamel color. I'd guess the viper would be red, so you should prime it something light.
