Searching for an airbrush: Is this a good deal?
Posted by JoeU on Tuesday, July 3, 2007 5:46 PM

So I've been looking around online a lot trying to decide on an airbrush to buy and came across the following set on the Testors website:

http://www.testors.com/catalog_item.asp?itemNbr=2687

Is this a good deal for the money? I don't know a whole lot yet about what I should be looking for. Is the Testor Aztek line a good brand? Any advice would be appreciated.

Do not waste your money on testors.  Go to Wallmart or Homedepot and get yourself a compressor with a tank for less than $90 and buy yourself a decent airbrush like an Iwata Revolution CR or Iwata Eclipse.  I personnaly use and Iwata CR and Iwata HP-C Plus and they are both great.  I owned an Aztec 4709 and it is garbage comparred to Iwata.  The Aztec lasted about 1 year before the internal mechanism's failed, they just wore out.  I have owned the Badger Anthem 155 but I prefer my Iwata due to its being Gravity fed.  Check out these sites for price comparrisons.
