A wash will mess it up. You need to seal it with a coat of flat lacquer, which will remove the 'step' between the colors.

Just a tip: alcohol based acrylics work better than enamels when using masks - they don't build up as quickly.

For every modeling technique that works, I have three that don't.

I've applied my camo (enamel) to a jagdtiger using silly putty the edges had built up paint along the putty I shaved and sanded this down however it still looks odd.  If I apply a pin wash of enamel thinner along the edges will this feather the edge or will I end up with a mess?

thanks in advance
