Life will never be the same!

Seriously. I painted a model with an airbrush for the first time today, and it was a life altering experience. Before today I had always either brush painted or used a spray can. The control and accuracy were both incredible. I was painting a 1/48th scale Russian KV-1 and I was able to get into all of the little corners and crevasses with absolutely no problem. Quite a difference from spray can painting! I know this comes as no surprise to most of you, but for me it was entirely new. Before I got started I sat at the table for several minutes with everything ready to go, terrified that I was going to screw something up. But once I got going and got the hang of it I didn't want to stop. Now I can't wait to start something new just so I can paint it. Truly I am not the same man I was when I woke up this morning.

It's a real "Eureka" moment, isn't it?

So long folks!

Congrats, Joe! I know the feeling. And you'll only get better and beter the more you use it.

I hope so. This time I was only painting a single color hull. I guess my next challenge is a camo scheme.

I know how you feel! I love using my airbrush. Every build I use it more and more. And practice will pay off. Try new techniques and stretch your skills- you'll have even more fun!

Congrats on a wise investment Joe!  These things are such an indispensable tool for us modelers.  Btw,  what kind of a/b did you buy?
