krylon / rustoleum as a primer

Has anyone used the rustoleum primers on their models??  I was at the home depot today...saw their automotive sandable grey primer and though it might be good to use.  Any thoughs??

Ive just used krylon primer and it worked out well.  I think ive read somewhere that Rustoleum has additives that can attack plastic models (not sure if it was the primer), but dont quote me on that!

Thx for the info bout the rustoleum.  Guess ill have to make a trip to wally world tomorrow to get some.

I regularly use American Tradition brand primers from the local Lowes.    Spray multiple light coats versus one thick coat to minimize the chances of attacking the plastic.  The Red Primer is a dead-on match to WWII US Navy hull red, and I will often us it as the finish coat.

BTW, Rustoleum and Testors are owned by the same company, RPM International.  They also own the Floquil and Bondo brands.  That Testors paint in the bottle may really be made by Rustoleum

Didnt know that Testors and Rustoleum were the same company....that is an interesting thought.....color by Rustoleum
