1/32 Hawker Hunter - Spray can question
Posted by Viper Has The Lead on Saturday, July 28, 2007 6:07 PM
Hello all,
Some guidance please. Working on a large model 1/32 Hawker Hunter, (no airbrush as yet).  Luckily the undersurfaces are aluminium, so I can use a spray can. I've never tackled anything this large, and I'd like to know if I ought to attatch things like the pylons and stabilizers and spray it all in one go.  Things like the undercarriage doors, fuel tanks etc will have to be done seperate.
Best Wishes,
Mick C.

Generally, I find it easiest to build as much as possible before painting.  Assembling painted parts requires a lot more care than assembling un-painted parts.  The main reason I have for leaving parts off and assembling after painting is when they are different colors.  I built a Huey recently that was supposed to have its horizontal stabilizers painted red while the rest of the chopper was olive drab, so in that case I painted separately and assembed after painting.
