Humidity has less affect on an enamel paint than an acrylic. If fact, it mostly affects the initial drying time, and generally will have little, if any, affect on curing time. There is a surface effect caused by the hygroscopic nature of some polymers, which will slow curing, but this does not last more than a day unless something else is wrong—like attempting to paint over it. This may be the whole cause of your problem.

Your gloss is not curing properly. The first question that comes to mind is: How long did you wait before overcoating with the gloss? The second is: Were the paints under the gloss also MM?

Not waiting long enough to overcoat, especially with a clear, will cause solvent still escaping from the underlying paint to alter the behavior of the clear, and possibly cause problems with the underlying paint, too.

If the underlying paint was not MM, then there is also a possibility of incompatibility.

Yea, sorry. Go strip them and soak in thinner and retry in a dry place or on a drier day...Maybe its just your paint. I soak my spray cans in hot water for 5 minutes to loosen up paint.

Could be humidity in the air...gets water in the paint and makes it sticky b/c it never totally dries.  I've used gloss on an F-14 and it was slightly sticky, and still is, when you press hard it comes off on your fingers, and it gets fingerprints...idk how to fix it.

Ok I painted some model pieces yesterday using some MM gloss. Now After they had dried they were all kinda sticky for some reason, which at the time i prushed off and proceded to weather using Tamyia black thined down. When I went to get ride of the excess I found it to be alot harded then it usualy is and ended up removing most of the weathering I had put down. I also began to notice what can best be described as skin peeling off the model. Now today the pieces that I glossed yesterday are still sticky and im still getting peeling. Is there something wrong with the paint or is it something else?
