Sorry for the late reply... Disapprove [V]

If you plan on spraying T-shirts at all then you will need a compressor that can pump out 60 psi. Mine can. You want quite, so did I, mine is. Something similar to my wifes sewing machine or a fishtank filter. Let's put it this way, I had a head injury awhile back and different things trigger migrains, not my compressor.

As far as many of them "looking alike", well there are only a few companies that actually build them. They will change some specs for different customers. Head over to Sparmax, any of those compressors look familar?

My best advice:
Get one that produces enough pressure or a little more than you need so it won't burn out.
Make sure it has a warranty long enough to be useful.
Buy from a reputable establishment and check there return policy.

The actual setup I bought was this -

IWATA Eclipse-BCS Airbrush Kit with Mini Tank Compressor but at a much cheaper sale price.

Espins wrote back and said that the compressor he has works fine. It has a 3 gallon tank and goes up 100 psi.

Gee, I wish Harbor Freight had this compressor when I was shopping for mine - ITEM 95630-2VGA $79.99. Then just attach this air tank - ITEM 41712-6VGA $17.99 and I would be good to go.

But when I was shopping around it was difficult to find a quiet 60 PSI compressor with an air supply tank. Sad [:(]

Hi Guys,

I am not saying they are the same but they do look similar. Go check out Harbor Freight.

A fraction of the cost...

Hey Andy,

My son and I do model cars, I'm getting back into murals on motorcycles and autos. My wife is into T-shirts and canvas along with other fabrics. So I did a lot of research what with needing a quiet compressor and limited funds. I picked up the ABD TC-20T from TCP Global > Airbrush Depot. I've had no problems with it running my Iwata BCS, CS or Vega 600.

You don't really need a dual piston for an occassional use. If you were going to be mass producing T-shirts then you'd be better off with a real compressor than a hobby compressor.

thanks for the reply. how was the customer service with ABC? i was going to order the one from AirBrush Depot this weekend but the wife put a hold on the funds until we know for sure DEAN won't hit us Boohoo [BH].  suggestions for other compressors are welcome because i am still unsure wether to take the $200 (with shipping) plunge on that particular compressor. i will mostly be doing car models and maybe a tiny bit of T-shirt airbrushing.

maybe i dont need a twin piston compressor?

I bought a compressor from ABC  and wasnt impressed, it broke a couple months after I got it

thanks for the replies. the compressor itself does have a "cheap" look to it and only has a 6 month warranty. a similar one from airbrush depot costs about the same and has a two year warranty. so the one from ABD seems a better option at the moment.

 thanks again

Heck, i wouldn't ever pay $160 for that!   -Go look at BearAir for a compressor, or DixieArt...They've both got better prices and selection.

what do you guys think of this compressor? it's about $190 after shipping. i always wanted an air shuttle but they dont have those anymore, and the only other compressor i'm considering is the tankless scorpion2.
