This may be the result of the high humidity you report. Do you have a moisture trap properly located in your air brush line? If not, that may help the problem.

If you do have one, make sure you blow it clear more frequently in humid weather.

It is also possible that the Gunze coating contains hygroscopic components that are "grabbing" moisture from the air and causing the problem. Increasing thinner ratio slightly and increasing spraying pressure may also help. If not, try the opposite approach.

Flat coat white specks?

The past few times that I have applied a flat top coat this has happened. I use Gunze Flat Clear with their thinner, thinned approx 1 part flat clear/2 parts thinner sprayed through my Badger 150. The airbrush has been cleaned thoroughly prior to attempting the topcoat. Conditions lately have been on the humid side. As the coat dries there are random tiny white specks on the finish.. They can be rubbed away afterwards with a coton ball, but this is annoying and tedious.  Anyone have any ideas for correcting this?
