New setup
Posted by dublove on Wednesday, September 19, 2007 11:30 AM

Been a while since I posted or even did some modeling for that matter.  New car (Fairlady Z) has been taking up my time. I've even built it a new garage to sit in as my old one was too small.

Have set myself up with some new gear so I can airbrush indoors in a spare room. Got my self a Bambi bb24v compressor and an Iwata hp-ch (from Hong Kong via ebay). Will do a fuller review after I've used them both a while.  So far though I'm well pleased being able to airbrush in the house - beats goingto the garage and heating it up first - now I don't even have to leave the ground floor :)   Decided to sell the Badger 360 and try an Iwata. The Badger was a little uncomfortable in my hand after 20minutes or so.

The Bambi seems nice, certainly it is very very quiet. (Like a small fridge) and a foot print of only 40x40cm. Might have to get a lower range regulator on there though as currently it's 0-200psi - a little fiddly trying to set 10 on it. The Iwata though is, well, just impressive! Tooling quality is sublime putting the badger to shame. Shall be fun to crack on now Winter is coming...

Well, thanks for reading :)
