Ben,

I've had very good success ordering Tamiya acrylic paint from Hobbylinc. They have good prices, and quick delivery.  I particularly like the fact that they carry the larger size (23 ml) jars of paint - which is also more economical.

Also - I think the F in XF is for flat, which is a good way to remember.

Interestingly, if you go to Tamiya's website, all of their paints are out of stock.  I have been noticing the label changes from all Japanese to English on their primer.

Ben, try ordering the tamiya from megahobby.com.  I've always used them for my paint purchases and have never had a problem.  though if the problem is with tamiya themselves, then noone will be able to help.

The problem may also explain why I've been having a problem finding tamiya cement (in the bottle with the orange cap).

Bill, the headaches may also be being caused by a sudden drop in blood pressure to the ol' noggin', if ya catch my drift Smile,Wink, & Grin [swg]

I've often suspected that California causes cancer, but I haven't convinced my government to fund a oh let's say a ten year long study to find out. I do know that staring at the blonde beach babes too long causes a headache, though that might be my wife beating on my fool head.

Thanks, Viper. Yeah, I just checked the labels...one newer and one old. Looks like more warnings, of course the mandatory california warning that 'everything in life causes cancer'.

Tamiya have recalled a lot of products over a labelling issue. Prob didn't put enough DANGER signs on everything to satisfy the Health & Safety stormtroopers.

Thanks guys, but Squadron has 1/2 of their Tamiya Colors out of stock. So disappointing...So I put all Humbrol enamels in the cart for now, until I find an acrylic brand that Squadron actually has a large and in-stock selection of. I've considered Vallejo, but it's awfully expensive..Tamiya seems to have the best acrylic prices, and Humbrol's got the best enamel prices, and a wide color selection.

I've always accepted that there are certain dumb questions:

1) "Are we there yet?" when the car is just starting on a multi-hour trip.

2) "Can I go drinking with the boys at the strip club?" when you're married.

And of course, there are plenty of stupid answers! Propeller [8-]

There are never any "dumb questions" Ben. Wink [;)]

No, X is Gloss, XF is Flat. I don't think Tamiya Enamels are sold in North America.

I can never get this straight...Tamiya XF is enamel, and Tamiya X is acrylic right? I just need to know which is acrylic...
