My LHS just got in a new shipment of Tamiya paint. Some are still the small 10ml bottles with the "Danger" label pasted on, but also some 23ml bottles that have the new California labels on. Our guess is the label is the issue with paints being unavailable for a time, and we are all happy to see the larger bottles. For a $1 more you get an additional 13ml!

So long folks!

If it's of any use, I had previously ordered a couple bottle of Tamiya's glue (in the orange bottle) from towerhobbies.com.  That was about 3 weeks ago.  I finally got an email saying they were shipping it, so maybe the paint is on it's way as well.

My LHS has been out of Tamiya paints for weeks. I thought it was because they were so popular, not because of some label issues. I didn't even think to ask...

By now doesn't everyone know that the "State of California" thinks "most everything... is known to the State of California to cause cancer, birth defects, respitory problems, blindness, deafness, baldness, laziness, ADD, hypochondria, and/or a visit from the Boogie Man, the Tooth Fairy, or the Great Pumpkin?"

I mention this in a lot of my posts in this section and it's apparently due to labeling problems on the paints. Not enough safety stuff...

I believe Tamiya is going through a re-labelling process on all of their paints.  The warning labels used to be only in Japanese.  They have been re-labelling them to show an English translation.  I noticed here in Maryland, USA, that the paint shelf at the local hobby store was skimpy on Tamiya paints for about a month.  Maybe that is the same problem where you are.  If you go to Tamiya's website, it shows all of their paints are out of stock.  Interesting...

I can't get Tamiya paints??!!

Hi

I went to MODEL ZONE (London, UK) today to get couple Tamiya paints for my new f-16 (Tamiya 1:48) but there was just about 1/3 paints in stock. I did not find paints AS 10 (Ocean Grey), AS 26 (Light Ghost Grey), AS 27 (Gunship Gray 2), AS 28 (Medium Gray) even on the list.

For metalic paints (Metalic Grey, Titanium Gold, Titanium silver.........) I was told that they are not available any more because Tamiya took them off of the market due to some problems.

Is there some problem with Tamiya's paints or this is just coinsidence ???

Thanx Confused [%-)]
