I have used tinted future to add some depth to the camo color. I tinted the fute with inks, ecoline or tamiya smoke. I have used this technique several times so it can be done.

The results of tinting are not spectacular but it can add a little something.

I'll have to practice. Smile [:)]

Up to this point, all I've ever done is OOB. Even this Br52 is OOB. But after reading all the weathering articles and seeing all the amazing replicas that everyone is doing, I'm getting the bug to try a bit myself.

To this end, I have three models for practice: 1/48 Tamiya Kubelwagen, 1/35 Tamiya M41, and a 1/72 Monogram B-36 (since I got hosed on the decals and there aren't any replacements).

I'll have to do a bit of experimenting....(the mad scientist in me is giggling Big Smile [:D] )

I think you can mix acrylic paint with future to dye it. Someone else can clarify that...Food coloring works...You'd be best off just airbrushing the color by itself very lightly.

Yes....another Future question

I've been watching and reading about all the different weathering techniques. Since I'm getting close to putting decals on my Br52, I did some research and came across the recommendations of laying down a thin layer of Future...decaling....and then another layer of Future.....adding in dull cote to cut down the shine.

So....on the final shot of Future, has anyone added a drop or two of a color to get a certain "look" instead of a full on weathering?????? I'm just curious. Not even sure it can be done. But thats why I'm asking. Smile [:)]

The thought was adding a drop or two of brown when doing the final shot of Future, mixed with some dull cote, to get a light dirty/dusty look. I just thought it might add some ambiance to the model. Confused [%-)]
