Thank God! My LHS's Humbrol display was getting mighty bare! The owner told me that Humbrol was out of business and that the tins were a thing of the past.

No, Airfix and Humbrol are alive and well..... Hornby bought Airfix's assets (including Humbrol paints) last year, and released the first kit under the "new" Airfix just recently, a Spitfire Mk. I. Their website is up and running too.

Hello Smoffo,
Airfix are getting things back to normal, their website is now back, Humbrol paints are available, along with the newer Acrylics and even newer spray can colours.

Yes. Airfix, who owns Humbrol, went bust last year. They have since been bought out by Hornby (British model railroad maker, and owner of Scalextric). I believe they're planning on keeping the paint line open.

Just read on a swedish online shop that Humbrol and its subsidiary Airfix has gone bakrupt. Anyone heard anything from another source? Couldn't find any other place to confirm.
