Well, I was figuring that mabye with the Minwax, I'd get a tougher and

glossier finish.

I'm not to sure about the fumes though. I've never actually used any

of the water based polycrylic so, I'm not sure why it would have a strong oder

Wow, never considered that. But I would ask why would you want to considering the cost is higher and the smell is worse?

I thought I'd throw this in the mix.

 Has anyone ever tried to use Minwax Polycrylic Clear Gloss Finish,

as a gloss coat for decaling as opposed to future?
