I've never been able to go less than a 50/50 thinner to paint ratio on these paints.  Using a medium tip, I start with a 70/30 with 20 psi.  Thin coats with fast drying and great coverage.  I'm a real fan of these paints as I can brush when I need to and AB when I need too.  I use 91% Isopropyl Alcohol or water.  I find the acohol (or my perception) that it has a less chance to run.

It depends on the color but i use anything from 60/40 (paint/thinner) to 40/60. It seems that the model color range is a bit thicker than for example tamiya. Mostly it goes towards more thinner than paint, I also use low preassure when painting (approx. 0.7bar(no Idea what that is in PSI))

When I paint with Vallejo Model Color I thin with Vallejo's thinner to approx 60/40 paint/thinner ratio.  I clean up the old AB with Windex when I'm done.

The regular Vallejo Model Color Acrylics are intended for brush painting so I use the Air Color range for Air Brushing.  The Air Color doesn't require thinning but the regular range certainly would.  I've never used it in an AB, but for brush painting I thin it 20-30% with distilled water.

I thin my Model color range (and Game color, which are even more thick) with Vallejo thinner, and the "proper thinner ratio" is not all that important in such case - I just thin it approximately. It's not as if they can become "too thin" with such thinning - or you can thin the with Vallejo mediums.

If you use water, though, be careful - you can easily thin them too much. I'd say, 10% - 15% of water is enough, may be even less. Try it first.

As for Air range of Vallejo, I never thin them at all. Just use them out of the bottle.

I everybody

I'm about to airbrush my Tamiya F15E with Vallejo Model Color Range Acrylics, does anyone can help me about the proper thinner ratio for this range of colours, or should I use the one for the Model Air Range

 Thanks
