Thanks guys for the info.  But is the Tamiya X-19 Smoke a 'clear' smoke?  I'd prefer to find Gunze Clear Smoke but no luck so far.  However if the Tamiya X-19 is clear then that's what I'll get.

Just to reassure you, Tamiya smoke is a semi transparent dark tint.  I used to use them for model car windows.

Yes it is. I've often suspected that Gunze and Tamiya are made by the same manufacturer. Same size bottles and caps, and they are mix without incidence.

So long folks!

Try e-HOBBYLAND.COM they have just about everything. Shipping is a little high but what you save off list on most things makes up for it.

There is another thread I started stating that Tamiya is changing manufactors and labels on all of their paint.  Therefore, this is causing some delay on some paints.  I've had a hard time finding the 10ml Mini Olive Drab.  I eventually ordered the 23ml.  It's probably the older mixture or label but that's cool with me.

Jesse,

Thanks for the info.  I wonder though why this paint is so hard to get from the usual sources.

Anyway thanks and have a great holiday.

Hey Ron,

www.tamiyausa.com has the 10ml mini instock.  They also have a sale on right now.  Spend $50 and get free shipping.

Can't find acrylic Clear Smoke
Posted by rong on Sunday, December 23, 2007 1:14 PM

I'm going to build a couple of F-16's and need Clear Smoke for the canopies but neither Squadron nor Great Models have it in stock and according to the Great Models site the last time they had it was back in November of last year.

Anyone know where I can get it on the internet since no local hobby shops in my area.  If not what do you guys do to substitute?  I use only acrylics.

Thanks for any help.
