Two things I would check...paint thin enough and is your airbrush clean. Tear it down and give it a good cleaning.

Problem Airbrushing - Spitting Primer
Posted by Doolittle on Saturday, December 29, 2007 12:43 PM

I am currently preparing to airbrush a 1/48 B17. I have a simple Pasche aircompressor. I am airbrushing acrylic model master primer. I set up my single action Pasche airbrush and slightly thinned the primer. It has been fairly cool here in AZ with temps of 53 degrees. My problem was that the paint was spitting and I could not get any control or consistent spray no matter what air pressure I used. I tried cleaning the needle and changed out paint with no luck. Is this related to a problem with the Temperature, Airbrush, Compressor or Paint? Any help or ideas would be great. I am at a stand still until I can figure this issue out.

Thanks.
