Clean up After Future
Posted by Bill Clarke on Tuesday, January 1, 2008 9:09 PM

After reading through some of the articles on this forum regarding the the use of future in air brushes, I would like to know if any of you have had windex damage your air brushes in any way, I plan to use my Aztec AB to spray on a coat of future then clean up with windex.

Cheers, and happy to new year to all.

Bill.

I've never had a problem using Windex to clean up my Badgers. Windex comes in a plastic bottle, so even the plastic ABs should clean up fine. I always rinse with distilled water after.

So long folks!

What worried me was the effect of the ammonia on any rubber "o" rings/seals in the AB

I don't suggest soaking the AB in Pure Ammonia. Windex contains 3% or less Ammonia and shouldn't be a concern for the short time it will be in the airbrush. Do follow up with a distilled water rinse.
