If it was that thick, it might have been a left over from the first Acryl line.  There were two lines of Acryl made.  The "old formula" and the "new formula".  Make sure your hobbystore doesn't have a whole bunch of "old formula" Acryl around.  The "old formula" is completely incompatiable with the "new formula".  By the way, I'm not referring to the small 1/4oz bottles.  I'm referring to the Model Master line.  Here's a pic of the old bottles.  Notice the blue band around the top.  It says "Acrylic Enamel".  The "new formula" doesn't have this band:

Thicker?

MM Acryl should be thinner than Tamiya, ready to spray right from the bottle. 

 

You sure you don't have MM Enamel?

Sounds like a bad batch. MM is thicker that Tamiya, but it should't be toothpaste thick.

  Hello everyone!

       My Question is .. I always use tamiya acrylics but to try something new I bought a bottle of Model Master Raw umber and its real thick ? Kinda like toothpaste. Is the paint good or should I take it back !
