Any hints or tips about airbrushing Diecast models? Anything helpful I should know beforehand?

I'd give them a wipe down with a paint prep first to etch the finish to accept paint. If you have taken them down to the bare metal, you'll want to prime them.

I've reworked several diecast vehicles for use in dioramas with aircraft. Tons of fun!

In terms of 'Paint Prep', the modelling book I use tells me to put the body in a tuperware container, fill it with bleach and leave it overnight. Are there other methods I could use?
