Is there a book or two out there about how to weather a model, and the techniques of color washing????

i would like to learn how...

In addition to Swanny's excellent information, you might try doing a search in this forum for washes. There has been a LOT of great information posted on washes, pastels, drybrushing, etc. Try it out...

Also check out the 2003 issue of FSM. They had a great article on washing and drybrushing a M1 Abrams. You may not be doing that model but the techniques are the same.
