No problem ever for me. I clean it up with lacquer thinner which doesn't seem to hurt it either. I use the grey tip. I also get the best results with a base coat of MM gloss black acrylic. Swanny recommends black krylon but I can't make it work for me.

Were they lacquer based? Isn't that what Alcald is?

I have shot metalizer through an Aztec so they are close to the same. Hope that helps.
