Badger Anthem with the optional fine tip, needle, and regulator will do anything you want if used with a color cup.  Simple to break down and maintain and parts are cheap.  The Iwata's are very nice ( I own four ) but parts are more expensive and can be hard to find depending on your location.  Hobby Lobby carries them and parts can be purchased reasonably with a 40% off coupon.  But overall, I would recommend the Badger.

I have had a Badger 200, 250,and a 350 . I now have an Iwata CR and a HP-C. For a first airbrush I think the Badger 200, would be ideal. I had mine for 15 years and used it so much that I had it rebuilt, twice. Well made, easy to control, 3 different heads. Medium and fine would probably be all you need. Check Dixie art supply about $50. If money were no option I would say get an Iwata HP-C Plus about $170.     Aztek = death

There are many choices and there has been probably thousands of threads on the subject. I am a long time user of Paasche H's and VL's which I still use frequently, but I've found my Iwata Eclipse and Revolution to be unequaled for all round use.

If you have a Hobby Lobby near by...use the 40% coupon and you can pick up either of the big three...Iwata, Paasche or Badger for a great price.

Hey guys I have been into models since I was about seven when I built a Revell 1/48 F-18 but I am seventeen now and I am looking to upgrade from just handbrushing all of my models.  But I just finished a Tamiya Merkava that I messed around with and decided that I was gunna fork over the dough to purchase a good airbrush set.

I was wondering if you guys could suggest a good set for about a hundred bucks or less or a good one that is close to a hundred bucks.

I would really appreciate it if you guys could help me out with this one since I really want to start adding realism to my models since handbrushing can only go so far. Thanks.
