How long between spray paint can coats?
Posted by mesh on Sunday, February 10, 2008 10:51 PM

I am working on my first model (Tamiya t-34/75 1/35), and am painting it now. I am painting it using Tamiya Flat Acrylic Spray Paint. I just put on my first coat and it is looking good, although i need one more coat to touch up some areas I missed.

How long should I wait between coats? The only reference I can find says to make sure the first coat is completely dry, but I don't really know how long that is (i.e. dry to touch? does it have to cure)?

Any help would be appreciated.

Varies by temp and humidity, but give it 4-6 hours minimum, but 12-24 is best.
