                        This is probably going to sound silly as I'm not familiar with the regulator on that unit.

                        Some adjusting knobs need to be slightly pulled up or pushed down in order to make an adjustment. Have you tried doing that?

                        If all fails, I would contact Iwata right away.

                        My brand new Iwata Smart Jet just arrived and all seems OK. BUT I cannot adjust the air pressure. When the airbrush is in use the pressure is always about 25 psi. The directions say to turn the Pressure Regulater Knob to adjust the pressure. I do that, but still no change in air pressure. Any suggestions.
